FROM THE WEST AND NORRISTOWN AREA:
. *take Route 476 (Blue Route) to Route 76 (Schuylkill Expressway) East
*take Route 76 towards Philadelphia .
*pass the Girard Avenue and Spring Garden Street exits
*take exit 38 for 676 East — a two-lane exit to the left - stay in the right lane of the exit
*exit (from the exit!) virtually immediately across a lane of merging traffic for
Ben Franklin Parkway/23rd Street
*turn right at bottom of ramp onto 23rd Street
*cross Arch and Market Streets, then turn left onto Chestnut Street
*turn right onto 19th Street
*when 19th Street dead ends into the Square, turn right onto Walnut Street -
the church will be ahead of you and on the left
FROM THE SOUTH/I-95 NORTHBOUND:
*just past the Philadelphia International Airport, exit for Route 76 (Schuylkill Expressway) West
*follow signs for Route 76 over Platt Bridge
*at base of bridge, turn left for Route 76 West
*once merged into Route 76 West, go approximately two miles
*exit left for South Street just past University City exit)
*at end of exit ramp, turn right onto South Street
*turn left onto 18th Street
*cross over Lombard, Pine, and Spruce Streets to Rittenhouse Square
*make a left onto Walnut Street — the church will be ahead of you and on the left
FROM THE NORTH/I-95 SOUTHBOUND:
*exit. from 1-95 onto Route 676 West (you want 676 for Center City, not Callowhill/Historic
Area)
*take Route 676 West for approximately 1 mile
*exit for 15th Street/Broad Street
*at end of exit ramp, turn right onto 15th Street
*follow 15th Street past City Hall and the (giant) Clothespin, crossing over Market and
Chestnut Streets
*turn right onto Walnut Street
*follow Walnut Street to Rittenhouse Square/19th Street — the church will be ahead of you and
on the left
STREET PARKING IS VERY LIMITED — PARKING GARAGES/LOTS ARE LOCATED ON
WALNUT BETWEEN 18th AND 19th STREETS, AND THE SOUTHEAST CORNERS OF 20th
STREET AND WALNUT (JUST BEHIND THE CHURCH).

There is only about a month left before the conference. We are now sponsored in part by Biblical Seminary, and we encourage you to look into their seminary programs.

We have promotional material available. If you would like some posters or cards to hand out please e-mail us at emergentma [at] gmail [dot] com and we will send some to you. You can also print off and photocopy the poster provided on the Multimedia page.

Conference Update 1

Attention: To help alleviate travel and monetary concerns from many different fronts, the organizers of the Emergent Mid-Atlantic Conference have decided to move all of the events to one day, November 8th, 2008, so that those attending can cut down on gas, air, and hotel costs. Making this a one day event will be a benefit to all attending, including us organizers, as it will keep costs lower for producing the event will need one day less of rental and space usage.

Also, starting August 22nd, 2008, the price of admission will go up to $25 online and will be $35 at the door. The price of $15 will only remain for students. At the venue, you must present a student ID to validate the student rate or you will be charged the difference.
